Pitta is a very dynamic, upward, and outward expression of energy. It is primarily hot, and can be excessive or inflamed. It’s overall quality might feel like being in a pressure cooker.
This formula quiets and calms Pitta’s intensity via inhalation, by way of the aromatic nature of the herbs and flowers used in making this balm.
White flowers are known to sweeten and pacify the rising intensity of the fire element.
Brahmi is also expansive to the brain.
HOW TO USE:
Massage + Marma Balm is actually more economical than massage oil (Thailam):
1. Unlike Oil, solid herbal oil balm is dripless, so the product remains exactly where it is applied
2. Thicker viscosity and tackier glide encourages slower, deeper tissue hand skills
3. You’ll use far less balm than regular oil
(generally, we find that 1 oz is sufficient for 1 full body massage.)
4. Always the best choice for use with heated adjuncts such as steam towels
Massage 1/2 to 2/3 teaspoonful of balm directly over painful muscles and joints.
May be combined with moist heat for optimal results.
Use this dripless version of our Pitta Massage oil in massage therapy, especially to relieve muscular tension in the neck, shoulders and upper back. Also, works well in Pada abhyanga (Foot massage) and applied to the marma points of the face, scalp and temples.

Ayurvedic herbal oils and balms are “anhydrous”, which gives them prolonged freshness without the addition of chemical preservatives.
However, once, or if, any amount of water is introduced into your balm or oil, it will cause the growth of mold or microorganisms. therefore, be aware to prevent water in any form from entering the product.
