An adaptation of our Kapha Thailam Oil
Kapha Marma Balm
brings enlivening to the fluid systems
helps decongest respiratory and lymphatic stagnation
for:
Detoxification Body Massage
Lymph Drainage Therapy
Facial / Sinus Massage
Kapha Massage Balm offers a synergy of decongesting, astringent, diaphoretic and warming compounds that work transdermally to benefit every cell, organ and system via these energy channels.
Specifically, it aids in the removal of accumulated toxins by binding to fat-based ama, having the power to interact with all 7 layers of the human body simultaneously, and mobilising these toxins for elimination.
Kapha Balm brings a focused action and stimulation to sites of accumulation or stagnation in the slower moving energies of the fluid and connective systems, which makes this an excellent choice for chest rub or nose balm in cold + flu season.
Properties are enhanced when combined with steam compresses, sauna or bath
HOW TO USE:
Massage + Marma Balm is actually more economical than massage oil (Thailam):
1. Unlike Oil, solid herbal oil balm is dripless, so the product remains exactly where it is applied
2. Thicker viscosity and tackier glide encourages slower, deeper tissue hand skills
3. You’ll use far less balm than regular oil
(generally, we find that 1 oz is sufficient for 1 full body massage.)
4. Always the best choice for use with heated adjuncts such as steam towels
For:
Massage Therapists
Pancha Karma Therapists
Yoga Studios
Home & Family Uses
For Chest Rub: Massage 1/2 teaspoonful of balm directly over chest and keep warm with hot towels or hot water bottle wrapped in towel
May also be combined with moist heat for optimal results.
Another way: Use Kapha Balm on legs and arms following dry brush massage, especially to wake up sleepy circulation, cold extremities or as an adjunct during a detox . Also, works well in Pada Abhyanga (Foot massage) and applied to the marma points of the face, scalp and temples to open up breathing passageways and sinus congestion.
For some, a tiny amount applied with Q Tip may be beneficial as a nasal lubrication and barrier against airborne pathogens.
